Lucy stood at her glass window, her sweater sleeves longer than her arms as she gripped a warm cup of coffee, staring blankly outside, reminiscing old memories.
Remember the day I borrowed your brand new car and dented it?
I thought you'd kill me,
but you didn't.
And remember the time I dragged you to the beach, and you said it would rain, and it did?
I thought you'd say "I told you so." ,
but you didn't.
Do you remember the time I flirted with all the guys to make you jealous and you were?
I thought you'd leave,
but you didn't.
Do you remember the time I spilled strawberry pie all over your car rug?
I thought you'd hit me,
but you didn't.
And remember the time I forgot to tell you the dance was formal and you showed up in jeans?
I thought you'd drop me,
but you didn't.
Yes, there were lots of things you didn't do. But you put up with me, and loved me, and protected me.
There were lots of things I wanted to make up to you when you returned from the war.
But you didn't.
A stray tear traveled down her face before she could stop it, dripping down into her not so satisfying coffee. She stood there in the dimly lit empty house filled with memories of him. The man she loved so dearly and unconditionally. Natsu Dragneel.
"Please don't go!" She begged with tears in her eyes, tugging onto his arm childishly.
"Luce, I have to." He smiled lovingly at his wife, dipping down to pick up his duffel bag.
"But what if...what if you don't come back?" She asked quietly, her tone full of fear and dread. He gave her a small smile before cupping her face in his calloused hands, his black piercing eyes not leaving hers for a second.
"Lucy Dragneel you just stay here and be as happy as you can be and when I get home I'll tell you everything. I mean-me,me dying? Ha! That's the only thing I don't wanna beat Stripper in!" He laughed, grinning his famous toothy grin. His words didn't satisfy Lucy, for she burst out crying before clinging to him, her whole body shaking.
This surprised him dearly. He had never seen his wife so scared before. He rubbed her back soothingly, knowing everyday away from her would kill him.
"Don't worry Luce. I'll be back in no time." He whispered reassuring words to her, giving her light kisses to ease her down. When she finally calmed down she wrapped her arms around his neck, in return getting him to slightly pick her off the ground so he could stand up straight.
"Promise me..! Promise me you'll come back no matter what!" She pleaded, burying her face into his soft pink hair.
"I promise." He said softly, tightening his grip on her. She kissed him with all the emotion she would have for the next two years before letting him go, sadness in her eyes.
"I love you." He said meaningfully before walking off to the bus that had pulled up. She watched him go, not knowing it would be the last time.

Some Things Never End Nalu- Ch.5
The air was thick, and her lungs wouldn’t take it normally. Her hiccups, and sobs weren’t audible, but they could definitely be felt with a
burning sensation in her abdomen. She sat by herself in private room that had been paid for by Jurener, a definite waste of his money, but it was nonsensical to think that he'd care. Though, it was probably better that she was alone. Her whole body had shaking with sadness from her departure from home, shaking with the wondering if she would ever see it again.
And what made it all the more painful was that Natsu had been the last person she saw. Lucy's mind kept thinking about if kissing him,

A day had already passed and Natsu and the others still hadn’t seen or heard anything from Lucy.
Maybe, I should’ve just gone after her? Natsu thought, still having mixed feelings about his decision the other day. They had gone ahead and done the job for Lucy, knowing she would need rent money, but in result, they had left her alone, waiting for her to tell them what had been on her mind.
“Are you sure something was wrong with her? It wasn’t your imagination?” Erza voiced her presence, and snapped Natsu out of his thoughts.
“No.” Happy answered the question. “Something was wrong. She didn&rsquo
